In the Paris 2024 Olympic beach volleyball tournament, Brazilian duo Bárbara Seixas and Carol Salgado continued their winning streak on Tuesday, defeating Lithuania’s Monika Paulikiene and Aine Raupelyte 2-0 (21-13, 21-14) at the Eiffel Tower Stadium. This win, their second in as many matches, ensures their advancement to the Round of 16.
Earlier, Italians Marta Menegatti and Valentina Gottardi claimed their first victory, besting Egypt’s Doaa Elghobashy and Marwa Abdelhady 2-0 (21-16, 21-10). Meanwhile, another Brazilian pair, Eduarda ‘Duda’ Lisboa and Ana Patrícia Ramos, also remained undefeated with a 2-0 (21-12, 21-13) win over Spain’s Liliana Fernández and Paula Soria. Both Brazilian teams are now confirmed for the next round.
