Lube extend with last season’s backup libero, UPCN engage Brazilian outside hitter

The Italian men’s volleyball powerhouse Cucine Lube Civitanova have renewed with the libero Andrea Marchisio for two more seasons. A 27-year-old player has just finished his first season with the current SuperLega runners-up, acting as a backup to the Frenchman Jenia Grebennikov. In the next season, Marchisio will contest for the place in the lineup with a newcomer Fabio Balaso.

TURKEY

The Turkish men’s volleyball championship 2017-2018 Efeler Ligi bronze medalists İstanbul BBSK tied their setter Murat Yenipazar for another season. A 25-year-old player who currently competes in the 2018 CEV Golden European League with Turkey national team was named Best Setter of the same tournament twice, in 2013 and 2015. In the 2016/17, a season before coming to İstanbul BBSK who will play in the 2018 CEV Champions League, Yenipazar won the title in Austria with Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam Innsbruck.

ARGENTINA

Defending Argentinean men’s volleyball Liga Argentina champions UPCN San Juan Vóley Club engaged the second foreigner for the 2018/19. A 29-year-old Brazilian Guilherme Magnani Hage reinforced UPCN San Juan Vóley Club to become the third foreigner in the club roster for the next season besides Russian middle blocker Nikita Stulenkov and Polish opposite Zbigniew Bartman. Hage, who came to UPCN from an Italian Division 2 side Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce. He was highest-rated outside hitter of the tournament with 6.12 index. Hage will compete for the place in the lineup with Nicolás Lazo and Federico Goméz. UPCN also parted ways with the Croatian Danijel Galić.
