The fierce battle extended to five gripping sets, ultimately seeing Algeria clinch a hard-fought victory with a score of 3-2 (18-25, 25-15, 33-35, 25-22, 15-11). Despite Ahmed Ikhbayri’s impressive 37 points for Libya, it wasn’t sufficient to earn them a spot in the final.
