Peru downed Colombia in straight sets, partially 30-28, 25-22 and 25-22, to stay unbeaten in two games at the South American Olympic Qualifications held in the Argentine city of San Carlos de Bariloche.
The most important figure in winning team was Ángela Leyva with 20 points. The top scorer of the game was the Colombian Madelaynne Montaño, who totaled 31.
Another team that achieved victory on the third day of the tournament, that brings only one place for Rio 2016, was Venezuela. They got their first win by defeating very young National Team of Chile in straight sets too, with partial 25-22, 25-13 and 25-9.
Roslandy Acosta led Venezuela with 18 points while Chris Vorpahl scored the maximum number of points for Chile, which had no players with double digits – nine.
Two more rounds are left to be played in the South American Qualifications for the Olympic Games.
