Sanest Khánh Hòa from Vietnam stunned Chinese Sichuan by a 3-0 (25-22 26-24 25-17) in the last round of Pool B to claim the top spot. Từ Thanh Thuận from the winning side scored game-high 13 points.
Lanka Lions from Sri Lanka staged a remarkable turnaround from 0-2 to 3-2 against Thai side Nakhonratchasima The Mall VC to settle at the top of Pool C – 20-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-23, 15-11. Romesh Hehathpurage Deepthi was unstoppable in the Lions with 29 points and impressive 67.6% hitting.
Pakistan’s Wapda prevailed in a five-setter against Binagar from Turkmenistan, partially 17-25, 25-21, 25-17, 18-25, 15-13, and secured No.1 in Pool D.
