ASIAN GAMES W: Thailand, Korea, China and Japan in semifinals

The quarterfinal matches of the women’s volleyball tournament at the Asian Games were played and four teams will continue to fight for the title.



Thailand outplayed VietnamSouth Korea were stronger than IndonesiaChina defeated the Philippines while Japan crushed Kazakhstan. All four matches were finished after three sets.

In the semifinals, Thailand will face South Korea while China will play against Japan.

But, the news of the day, however, is the injury of the young Thai spiker Chatchu-On Moksri, so far the team’s best scorer.

Thailand – Vietnam 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-20) Stats

Japan – Kazakhstan 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-21) Stats

Indonesia – South Korea 0-3 (22-25, 13-25, 18-25) Stats

Philippines – China 0-3 (15-25, 9-25, 7-25) Stats
