Altay and Supreme Chonburi achieved the second win in a row each at the 2021 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
Kazakh titleholders Altay showed superiority over its rivals at the 2021 Asian Women’s Club Championship for the second time in as many matches. In Pool B, the Öskemen side demolished Iranian Saipa 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-15). Sana Anarkulova top-scored Altay with 10 points.
Thai champions Supreme Chonburi are also perfect after two rounds. They swept Philippine Rebisco Philippines 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-16), also in Pool B, mostly thanks to Pleumjit Thinkaow (12 points). Altay and Supreme will put on a fight for the top spot in the pool tomorrow.
The vice-champions of Kazakhstan, Zhetysu, debuted in the 2021 Asian CCH with a confident win against Philippine Choco Mucho: 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-15). Azerbaijani international Anastasiya Gurbanova tallied 19 points for the club from Almaty.
