Iranian fans
Recall that Damirchi was caught while trying to steal goods from a shop in Copacabana on Thursday, August 25. The first info suggested that he is a member of the Iranian Volleyball Federation, however the Iranian officials deny any connection with Damirchi.
“Mansour Damirchi has no connection with the Iranian Volleyball Federation. We do not have that name in our volleyball history. I know that we have a person with that name in our FootVolley Federation, but I do not know whether he was in Rio during the Olympic Games. FootVolley Federation is completely independent of Iranian volleyball.”
