Although there is not a complete information on all foreign players competing in the 2017/18 Saudi Arabian Men’s Volleyball Super League, whose number is 18, voleibol.pe managed to get into possession of the names of most of them.
In addition to Eduardo Romay, the first-ever Peruvian Men’s volleyball player competing professionally abroad, from Al Ittihad Jeddah there are 9 more Latin Americans in the Saudi Arabian championship this season: the Argentine Pablo Bengolea (OH, Al Alhi Jeddah), Cubans Raydel Poey (OH) and Hiroshi Centelles (OH, Al Hilal Riyadh), Venezuelan Pedro Siso (Al Nassr Riyadh), Dominican Henry López (Al Ittihad Jeddah), and Brazilians Alan Guilherme Araújo (OH, Al Ibtissam), Bruno Amorim da Silva ‘Brunera’ (MB, Al Taraji Qatif), Hudson Rocha Ventura (OPP, Al Jawa) and Kleist Praia Mendonça (OH, Al Khaleej Saihat).
There are also 7 African players in the Saudi Arabian top division: 2 from Cameroon, 2 from Congo, 1 from the Democratic Republic of Congo, 1 from Rwanda and 1 from Seychelles. One player comes from Asian, more precisely from Bahrain – Yasim Youssif Al Nabhan.
