Congratulations Supreme Chonburi! Can’t to see what they can do in the Women’s world club championship later this year. Hopefully they finish a bit better than Bangkok Glass did in 2016.
Re: @S that’s not how it works. They would need to qualify first as the asian club champions to enter the world club championship to be held in China later oN December. I don’t think it will be easy to do. China is preparing for this tournament so it’s best to expect that they will send the best players of the representative of CVL in Asian Club Championship.
Re: @Rivers Sorry @S forget what I said. Supreme Chonburi is the winner of 2017 Asian Club Championship. I must have mistaken the club tournament for the Asian Volleyball Championship that Japan have won.
Re: @Rivers lol, it’s all good. Supreme won the Asian club championship last year, making them qualified for the 2018 women world club championship later this year. They beaten both Tianjin volleyball and Hisamitsu Springs to get the title. Though last year both of those team didn’t play with the same rooster(at least HS didn’t due to majority of their starters were already back in the NT training camp and Tianjin just had a different rooster from this year). Regardless, Supreme earn their spot, so I’m looking forward to seeing what they can or can’t do lol.
@Rivers For this year’s Asian club championship event, I think CVL will send last year’s winner Jiangsu volleyball club. CVL, JVL and other Asian federation tend to send their last year’s winner’s to the current year’s Asian club championship. But a couple like Thailand and Vietnam tend to send their current year’s winner instead. And again it will be Supreme, so let’s see if they can defend their title from other teams. Though it will be stiff competion, since everyone will want to be the winner, so they can earn their spot for the 2019 women world club championship.
