In line with their rapidly growing ambitions for the 2018/19, the Polish side Stocznia Szczecin aimed to hire Iranian superstar Seyed Mousavi. But, the player himself was not willing to play his first full season abroad (spent the finish of the 2012/13 in Al Arabi, Qatar) at this point and decided to stay in his home country.
Nevertheless, the decision of Mousavi will cause an earthquake in Iran as he moved from three-time defending champions Sarmayeh Bank to Shahrdari Urmia!
A 30-year-old middle blocker, the 2016 Rio Olympics participant, is a synonym for titles in the Iran as he won 10 Premier League championships, so far, and did it with five different clubs. It is worth mentioning that none of them was Urmia. On a club level, Mousavi won nine more gold medals, all in the Asian Club Championship.
Internationally, he conquered Asian Games, Asian U20 Championship, and Asian U19 Championship once each as well as the Asian Championship and Asian Volleyball Cup twice each.
As for individual awards, Mousavi was named Best Middle Blocker of the Asian Club Championship five times, Asian Championship twice, and Asian U20 Championship, World Club Championship and World Cup once each as well as Best Spiker of the Asian U19 World Championship once.
He competes for Iran national team since 2008.
