They simply were much better than the Slovakia in two matches. After 3-1 win on away side, Azerbaijan smashed the rival in straight sets at the home court 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-20).
It was enough to lift the trophy of the European Leageu 2016!
“We won the first round of the finals and of course we are happy with this. However, we are not going to stop here. We are going to play the re-match in Baku and I assume it will be a tough game. Slovakia obviously will try to win but we will be doing our best to claim the re-match as well. I am hoping that many fans will come to the sports hall to support us,” says Habibova, setter of Azerbaijan.
