Through a statement on social networks, a two-time Olympics winner with the Brazil National Team (2008 and 2012) Sheilla said goodbye to Minas.

The veteran opposite hitter explained that she made a decision to leave the Belo Horizonte team together with her husband. As she stressed, the pandemic that interrupted the Brazilian Championship made her “rethink many things”. Coming to Minas last year marked the end of a three-year retirement of a two-time FIVB World Grand Prix MVP.

For the 2020/21 season, Minas announced the hiring of the American Danielle Cuttino on Sheilla’s position.
