BRA M: Minas make season debut with surreal reception; rejuvenated Sesi win, too

The new season of the Brazilian Men’s Volleyball Championship started with victories of Minas Tênis Clube and Sesi-SP.

Minas Tênis Clube, who entered the season with the title hopes, beat Pacaembu Ribeirão by 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-15) at the opener of the 2020/21 Superliga regular season for men.

The Cuban opposite hitter on the winning side, Yadrian Escobar, was the top scorer with 11 points. Minas had as many as five players with 100 % reception, both positive and excellent, while as a team, it had 87 % positive (84 % excellent).

In the match that followed, highly rejuvenated Sesi-SP prevailed over Caramuru Vôlei in four sets.
