Bauru
In one of the best matches of the Brazilian Women’s Superliga Banco Do Brasil this season, the 4th-seed Bauru took down no.5 Sesc 3-2 (25-27, 25-18, 25-22, 19-25, 15-10) and assured the place in the playoff semifinals. In addition, the São Paulo club repeated the feat of the 2018/19 season when they also overthrew Bernardinho’s team in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Bauru will face the side that had the best campaign of the regular season Itambé/Minas.
The scare of the night was the injury of Bulgarian international Dobriana Rabadzhieva. The Bauru opposite hitter seems to have twisted her right knee in the 3rd set. She left the court and never came back.
