In an electrifying match at the Arena UniBH in Belo Horizonte, Gerdau Minas secured spot in the finals of the Bet7k Women’s Superliga 2023/24 by defeating Osasco/São Cristóvão Saúde. Winning the match 3-1 with sets of 25-23, 25-18, 15-25, and 37-35, Minas clinched the best-of-three semifinal series 2-0. They previously beat Osasco earlier in the week, also by 3-1.
The Grand Final is scheduled for April 21 at the Geraldão Gymnasium in Recife. Minas, which finished the regular season in third place, will face Dentil Praia Clube, who turned around their game to beat Sesc RJ Flamengo 3-1 at Maracanãzinho in Rio de Janeiro, closing their series 2-0.
In a standout performance, Kisy Nascimento led Minas with 23 points and was the top scorer of the game. Thaisa Menezes earned the VivaVôlei trophy with 13 points scored. Tifanny Abreu was the highlight for Osasco, contributing 22 points.
