– Last time Brazil and USA met in a final was at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the USA won 3:1

Brazil is the most successful team in World League’s history with nine gold medals, four silver and four bronze medal!

Brazil made a repeat of their London 2012 Olympic Games performance by beating Italy in straight sets in the semifinal match.

– The last time Brazil beat Italy in straight sets in the World League was in the 2001 final.

– USA reached the final of the FIVB Volleyball World League for the third time in history

– USA have been to the finals twice when they took the top podium in 2008 and second place in 2012.
