Russia’s captain Ekaterina Kosianenko: “Congratulations to Brazil. They played really well today. Our performance was not good enough to hold them. We will play home in the next round I hope we play better with the support of our fans”.

Brazil’s captain Fabiana Claudino: “Our serving, blocking and digging were really good today. We also managed the offense very well as each of our spikers scored a lot of points. We are in the right way”.

Brazil’s head coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes: “Our good performance on serving limited the Russian actions. We had a very bad start in the second set, but I am glad that we managed to bounce back and win the frame, besides of keeping the concentration level high from that point until the end. That was really important”.
