The middle blocker of Brazilian national team Fabiana Claudino might stay out of the friendly tournament that her team will play in Rio de Janeiro between August 28 and 30.

Fabiana felt pain in her right ankle during the second set of the second friendly clash between Brazil and Bulgaria and left the court carried by the medical staff.

In an attempt to block a Bulgarian attack, she fell awkwardly, started to cry and had to leave the game.

Brazil again beat Bulgaria 3-0 (25-23, 26-15 25-17), but the injury of Fabiana worried her teammates and coach José Roberto Guimarães.

It was not the only blow to the Brazilian national team as Sheilla Castro felt a back pain after the first clash with Bulgaria and didn’t enter in the second.

After the examination, it was determined that Fabiana won’t be out for too long.

These friendlies are part of the preparation for the South American Championship, which will be held in Colombia from September 26 to October 4 and the 2016 Olympics.
