It was certainly a huge disappointment for everyone in Sesi, especially as they had the lead in the series. Still, they failed to use a “match point” at home court in the Game 2, while then they suffered a straight sets defeat in the Game 3.
After the final clash of the series, Jaqueline Carvalho publicly criticized the behavior of Praia Clube fans.
“It was sad to see their fans chanting ugly words against our team. They even followed our bus outside the gym and kept insulting us. Hopefully, in the future those people will realize that it is just not worth it. At the same time I want to thank our fans for supporting us throughout season,” wrote Jaqueline on her Instagram account.
