For that reason, the game between Serbia and Brazil lasted for more than 2 and half hours! And there was no tie-break! At the end of the match, Ricardo Lucarelli was not feeling well, so he had to go to the locker room with a help of a team doctor.
Still, Brazil captain Bruno Rezende did not want to use the conditions in the gym as an excuse for a defeat. He congratulated Serbia on a well-deserved win.
“It was too hot in the gym. In my opinion those were not normal conditions for a volleyball match, but that is not an excuse. It was the same both for us and for them. We committed some mistakes today and Serbia scored a well-deserved victory.”
