So many lost finals, so many disappointments over the recent years… It has just had to end at one point. And there was no better place to break that curse than at home. In Rio de Janeiro. In front of the packed Maracanazinho Hall.
Brazil is the new Olympic champion in men’s volleyball!
The hosts of the Games 2016 defeated Italy in straight sets and won their 3rd ever Olympic Gold. It was a battle of two great teams. All 3 sets were very, very close, so detailes decided the winner.
