Argentinian runners-up lost first set which narrowed their chances to advance to the semis a lot if set ratio would have to decide between them (6 points), fierce rivals UPCN San Juan Vóley (3 points) and Diatec Trentino (6 points) at the end of Pool B stage. UPCN and Trentino will clash at midnight (CET).
After losing first set, Bolívar established complete domination over Brazilian side (14-7 in blocking, 8-2 in serving), having Pablo Crer at their top scorer with 13 points. Thiago Nogueira had 17 in Minas.
