BRA M: Sesc-RJ won Carioca trophy

Sesc-RJ Volei won the title of the Rio de Janeiro State Championship (Campeonato Carioca) 2017.

After women’s team and their success, the men’s Sesc also won the Carioca trophy by winning the rematch 3-0 against Botafogo.

A team of Mauricio Borges, Mauricio Luiz de Souza, Tiago Brendle etc. dominated in the match and deservedly won the first trophy in the new season.

This is their second trophy in two participations in this competition.

Despite this result,  Botafogo remains the biggest winner of the competition with 23 trophies, followed by Flamengo with 19 and Fluminense with 10.

First match: Botafogo – Sesc RJ 1-3 (25-23, 22-25, 18-25, 20-25)

Second match: Sesc RJ – Botafogo 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-23)
