José Roberto Guimarães is one of the biggest attractions on the Brazilian Female League. He was hired by the newly assembled team of Vôlei Amil, Campinas, with players like Fernandinha and Walewska.

His return to Brazil was a personal desire. He wanted to be able to finally get back closer to his family – especially the daughters and grandson Felipe. The last Brazilian women’s team Zé led was Osasco (current Sollys / Nestle) in 2005.
Guimaraes has also renewed his contract with the Brazilian national team and will stay tha main coach until the end of the 2016 Olympic Games.
