Serbia have claimed the spot in the final and Zoran Terzic’s words describe how his team played in this game:
“We have to be pleased with everything, especially with the tactic details that we prepared for their reception. We have never stopped Italy in this way,” says Terzic and adds – “There is just one more game and I hope they will make it in a good way.”
Davide Mazzanti, the head coach of Italy, had to say congratulations to his colleague on the other side again:
“The greatest regret was seeing Serbia not so far from what we know how to do, but today some things have gone well, while others have not. In the attack we were far from our level, the feeling is that we have always struggled to catch up with the attack. This was the factor that penalized us the most. In the times and in the choice of spikes we were not lucid, we also made too many mistakes. In this way we have made things easier for Serbia, especially in the wall-defense phase. For many moments of the race we were close to them, but something was missing to be able to stay ahead. From the bench, I felt that we were not entirely ourselves.”
Recall that Serbia defeated Italy in four sets.
