At the closing ceremony after the final that was held at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) President Aleksandar Boričić handed the trophy for the Most Valuable Player of the 2019 EuroVolley to his compatriot, Serbia’s outside hitter, Kovačević. The 26-year-old player was not the top scorer of the winning team in the gold medal match but his overall play against Slovenia and also in the tournament put him into position to get the award.
Just like in the case of the Women’s EuroVolley Dream team, the CEV postponed the announcement of the male Dream Team for the coming days.
