The first meeting between these two teams played two weeks ago staged an amazing fight and many thought it can hardly be repeated. However, that’s exactly what happened in the rematch. In the first leg, at home in Poland, Developres defeated French side Mulhouse after a tie-break and were in a slightly better position before the rematch. Despite leading in sets by 2-0, the players coached by the Frenchman Stéphane Antiga lost rematch in the same way as they won the first match. Nevertheless, Developres prevailed in an extremely exciting war of nerves to win the decisive Golden Set by a 15-13. Katarzyna Zaroślińska-Król highlighted for the ultimate winners with 18 points, including 5 kill blocks. As for Mulhouse, Cameroonian Laetitia Moma Bassoko delivered 30 points (6 aces), while Léandra Olinga-Andela made 7 of the team’s 18 kill blocks.

One more face-off had to be resolved in the Golden Set. Swiss side Vitéos Neuchatel UC defeated Minchanka Minsk from Belarus (competing in the Russian Championship) by a 3-1 in the 2nd leg but succumbed to the rivals in the additional set by 15-13.
