After 2 Turkish teams prevailed in their matches of the Champions League today, the duo Savino Del Bene Scandicci and Antonio Carraro Imoco Conegliano made 100% success for Italy.

In a highly competitive Pool B, in which they weren’t given many chances of advancing to the quarterfinals, Scandicci recorded the 4th victory in as many matches. In Round 4, they stunned Russian vice-champions Lokomotiv Kaliningrad region on the road even though they played without the Dutch Lonneke Slöetjes (ankle problem): 3-2 (25-17, 23-25, 25-21, 16-25, 15-12). The Pole Magdalena Stysiak was the most deserving player for the success of Scandicci as she delivered 28 points (5 aces). Valeriya Zaytseva scored 18 points (7 kill blocks) for Lokomotiv.

Imoco, the silver medalists last year, had no problems to overcome C.S.M. Volei Alba Blaj and settle at the top of Pool D, leaving Romanians only theoretical chances to advance to the quarterfinals.
