Scandicci-vs-Khimik
Italy’s Savino Del Bene Scandicci didn’t have much trouble with Ukraine’s Khimik Yuzhny in the first leg of the 2nd Round of the 2021 Champions League: 3-0 (25-15, 26-24, 25-12).
The Pole Magdalena Stysiak top-scored Scandicci with 16 points. Serbian Mina Popović set up 6 blocks, while American Megan Courtney had 86 % reception (57 % excellent). The Serie A team has made a huge “stock“ before the rematch which will be played already tomorrow and again at their home court.
In a duel of the two teams who have made their Champions League debuts this season just now, as their rivals in the 1st Round withdrew due to the coronavirus related problems, Poland’s ŁKS Commercecon Łódź swept Slovenia’s Calcit Volley Kamnik.
Serbian Katarina Lazović was the best scorer of ŁKS with 15 points, including 6 aces. Joanna Pacak added 4 blocks. The rematch is scheduled for October 14.
