The last available slot in the 2021 Men’s Champions League is filled with Jastrzębski Węgiel. The Polish side, as predicted, didn’t have any problems beating the hosts of Pool G of the 2nd qualifying round, Romania’s C.S.M. Arcada Galați 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-17).
This pool consisted of three teams but after the withdrawal of Hungary’s Fino Kaposvár VC due to coronavirus cases in the squad there was only this one encounter, which was held today and in which the PlusLiga team was led in scoring by the Frenchman Yacine Louati and Moroccan Mohamed Al Hachdadi (13 points apiece). The former had a 75 % attack (12/16).
In the pool stage, which is modified, Jastrzębski will play with Russia’s Zenit Kazan, Germany’s Berlin Recycling Volleys, and Slovenia’s ACH Volley Ljubljana.
