They defeated BR Volleys away 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 26-28, 25-17).
Even though BR Volleys had a better start of the game, taking a lead 6-4, the Italian team managed to make an amazing scoring run 9-0 to take over the lead and later to take the first set 25-17.
We saw a great battle in the second set which was ended well for the away side, which managed to win the uncertain finish of this part of the game 25-23.
In the third set, we witnessed even much better battle on the court, seeing BR Volleys this time winning a set 28-26.
However, in the fourth set, the home team’s performance suddenly dropped which was a sign for Trentino to clinch the first leg game, 3-1.
Nimir Abdelaziz was the top scorer with 28 points (71% attack), while Srecko Lisinac added 12 and Marko Podrascanin 11. Ricardo Lucarelli contributed with 10 points.
Timothee Carle was the best scorer with 18 points, while Ben Patch added 16.
