The day before the end of the European Golden League tournament in Pool C, Croatia defeated Czech Republic 3-2, but the defending champion secured a place in the Final Four with two sets won.
Croatia, led by Samanta Fabris who scored 25 points and Matea Ikic who added 21, took the win against the Czech Republic after 136 minutes of battle. Eva Hodanova with 18 points was the top scorer for the Czech Republic.
In the second game of the Pool, Hungary beat Belarus 3-0. Gréta Kiss from Hungary was the game top scorer with 13 points.
The winners of each pool will join hosts Bulgaria in the Finals – if Bulgaria top the charts of their Pool B, the second best placed team across all pools will make it to the Final Four as well.
