The CEV EuroVolley 2026 Women officially took shape following the Drawing of Lots held at the Castello Normanno-Svevo in Bari. The event determined the pool composition for the 34th edition of Europe’s premier women’s volleyball competition, bringing together 24 national teams across four host countries.
The hosts — Türkiye, Czechia, Azerbaijan, and Sweden — each selected one opponent before the remainder of the draw. Türkiye chose Latvia, Czechia picked Austria, Azerbaijan selected Portugal, and Sweden opted for Montenegro.
Pool Overview
Pool A (Türkiye)
Türkiye, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Slovenia, Hungary
→ Türkiye will meet Poland again, repeating their 2023 quarter-final matchup.
Pool B (Czechia)
Czechia, Austria, Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece
→ Serbia, silver medallists from 2023, join co-hosts Czechia in a balanced and competitive pool.
Pool C (Azerbaijan)
Azerbaijan, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, Spain
→ The Netherlands, who secured bronze in 2023, will look to continue their consistent performances.
Pool D (Sweden)
Sweden, Montenegro, Italy, France, Slovakia, Croatia
→ Italy, the reigning World and Olympic champions, lead a group featuring co-hosts Sweden and several strong European sides.
The top four teams in each pool will progress to the Round of 16, while the bottom two teams will be eliminated after the group stage.
