The Turkish representatives and also tournament winners two seasons ago, Bursa BBSK, were once again better than RSR Walfer from Luxembourg, making another 3-0 win,  partially 25-12, 25-14, 25-18. Bursa served 10 aces as a team, while their middle blocker Merve İkbal Albayrak scored 13 points.

Dinamo Krasnodar from Russia learned their lesson from the 1st leg against Austrian club UVC Holding Graz, which they barely won (3-2). In the rematch, Dinamo’s quality has emerged in a full, 3-0.

The Swiss side Sm’Aesch Pfeffingen made an amazing comeback against Mladost Zagreb from Croatia. After losing 1st leg by a 3-1, Sm’Aesch won the rematch by a 3-0, gained the right to play golden set for advancing to the next round and prevailed in it by a 15-10! The U.S. outside hitter Nicole Walch highlighted the Swiss club with 21 points (3 kill blocks). Dinka Kulić scored 16 points (4 aces) for Mladost.

The Serbian TENT Obrenovac eliminated local rivals Železničar Lajkovac by annulling their 3-1 win in the 1st leg with a 3-0 win in the rematch. This provided them a chance to advance to the 8th final on a golden set, which they did – 15-13.
