After winning the 1st leg of the Playoffs 12 against fierce rivals from Bundesliga, Berlin Recycling Volleys, by a 3-2, VfB Friedrichshafen had to win two sets in the rematch at home to secure their place in the next round. But no, the „Häfler“ wanted to preserve their invincibility that goes on from the beginning of the season and includes all domestic and international tournaments. So, Friedrichshafen added another set to winning the first two and outplayed BR Volleys for the fifth time this season, partially 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.
The Greek international Athanasios Protopsaltis scored 15 points for Friedrichshafen. Philipp Collin added 5 kill blocks, while David Sossenheimer made 74% reception (19 digs, 2 errors, 53% excellent).The Australian Paul Carroll was the most efficient player in BR Volleys with 20 points.
