The team from the Balearic Islands beat powerhouse and also favorites C.V. Teruel in a vibrant final held in front of 4,000 spectators at the „Europa pabellón“ in Leganés, 3-2 (19-25, 25-22, 25-19, 19-25, 22-20).

C’an Ventura setter Víctor Viciana was chosen MVP of the tournament in which his team broke a run of eight consecutive national Cup wins of Unicaja Almería and Teruel, combined. Also, the Cup trophy returned to the Balearic Islands for the first time since 2005/2006 season when Son Amar Palma – C.V. Portol grabbed it.
