No.1 Engelholm needed four matches in the playoff finals to overpower second seed Hylte/Halmstad, prevaling in the series by a 3-1. Engelholm triumphed in Game 4 in four sets, partially 29-27, 25-20, 17-25, 25-19.
U.S. duo of receivers, North Texas graduate Carnae Dillard and ex-Northern Arizona student Janae Vander Ploeg, both playing their first professional season, topped the team coached by Per-Anders Sääf with 17 points each. In Hylte/Halmstad, Jonna Wasserfaller had 14 points while 19-year-old Stina Rix added 13.
