LMV Tricolorul Ploiești, the nearest followers of CSA Steaua București in the standings had to work hard to defeat seventh-placed CS Unirea Dej, 3-2 (21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 17-25, 19-17), in the game valid for Round 22.
Bogdan-Alexandru Olteanu stood out for Ploiești with 18 points (3 aces). Silviu-Ioan Suson scored 18 as well on the other side for which Moldavian giant (2.14m) Vasile Talpă made 5 kill blocks.
