AUSTRIAN VOLLEY CUP: Amstetten grab trophy for the 3rd time in a row

SG VCA Amstetten NÖ/hotVolleys won the Austrian men’s volleyball cup for the third time in a row.

SG VCA Amstetten NÖ/hotVolleys defeated the Final Four hosts UVC Holding Graz by a 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23) in the gold medal match (no foreign players involved in the tournament – Austrian federation regulations) at Bluebox-Arena to win the national cup (Austria Volley Cup) for the third consecutive time.

Amstetten was led by Thomas Tröthann and Maximilian Landfahrer, who both scored 18 points. In addition, Tröthann earned the MVP award of the final tournament. Clemens Unterberger scored 15 points for Graz.
