WCH 2018 M: Cuba take one set, Finland victorious!

by WoV

Finland have scored the first victory at the men's volleyball World Championship.

Finland

Finland

This victory keeps Finland in the race for the next round, while the Cuban boys are in difficult situation, even though they have three more games to play.

Only in the third set, Cuba managed to raise the level of play, delivering some good actions and forcing the game into the fourth sets.

However, Finland wanted to avoid the tie-break so they finished the job in the fourth and clinched the win.

Three players had the same scoring performance: Urpo Sivula, Markus Kauro and Antti Makinen had 12 points each in Finland, while Miguel David Gutierrez Suarez had 17 in Cuba.
