Thailand defeated tournament’s debutants Bulgaria in four sets to make the home crowd at Indoor Stadium Huamark ecstatic. This was Thailand’s first ever win at home in the Nations League after losing all six in the last year’s edition of the tournament (Thailand hosted two weeks in 2018). Thailand and Bulgaria met for the first time in the Nations League and by suffering the seventh straight defeat today, the European side made the longest losing streak in the history of the Women’s national team in a single world-level competition. This means that Bulgaria remained at the very bottom of the standings with a 0-7 record, while Thailand are at 3-4.

Ajcharaporn Kongyot was superior for the winning side with 30 points, including as much as 8 kill blocks (one short of the all-time VNL record) and 5 aces! Miroslava Paskova and Mira Todorova scored 15 apiece for Bulgaria with latter making 5 kill blocks.
