VNL W: Semifinal pairs completed, Turkey make comeback against Thailand

Turkey have managed to make a turnaround in a game against Thailand to advance to the semifinals of the Volleyball Women’s Nations League.

After losing the first set, Turkish girls started playing much better to create a 3-1 win (23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21) and to schedule a meeting against Italy in the semis.

Ebrar Karakurt and captain Eda Erdem were the best scorers, ending the game with 17 points each, while Zehra Gunes contributed with 14, Sahin Saliha and Hande Baladin with 10 points each.

In Thailand, Ajcharaporn Kongyot had 21 points, while On Chatchu Moksri scored 16.

All semifinal pairs have been determined: Brazil will meet Serbia, while Italy will play against Turkey.
