The decision was confirmed during the FIVB Board of Administration meeting held alongside the Men’s World Championship in the Philippines. It will be the first time the event takes place in the USA, Canada, and Qatar.

The Women’s 2027 finals will be staged at Honda Center and OCVIBE in Anaheim, California, with additional host cities in both countries to be named. In 2029, Doha will stage the Men’s Championship, marking the tournament’s debut in the Middle East. Poland has already been confirmed as the host of the 2027 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship.

According to FIVB President Fabio Azevedo, the new hosts reflect the organization’s aim of expanding volleyball’s reach and leaving a long-term legacy. Volleyball World CEO Ugo Valensi added that the move would also strengthen connections with fans in North America and the Middle East.

Each edition of the World Championships features 32 teams competing in 64 matches over 17 days.
