Poland will once again serve as the stage for world-class volleyball, with five cities selected to host matches at the 2027 FIVB Men’s World Championship. It will be the third time the country organizes the prestigious tournament.
The competition, featuring 32 national teams for the second edition under the expanded format, will be held in Gdańsk, Katowice, Łódź, Olsztyn and Kraków. The final phase of the tournament, including the semifinals and medal matches, will take place in Kraków.
Over the past two decades, Poland has established itself as a key destination for international volleyball. The country previously hosted the Men’s World Championship in 2014 and 2022, as well as major events such as the Volleyball Nations League Finals and the Women’s World Championship.
Each host city brings both modern facilities and strong ties to the sport.
Kraków, located in southern Poland, staged World Championship matches in 2014. Its TAURON Arena has since welcomed numerous high-profile competitions.
Gdańsk, Poland’s main seaport on the Baltic coast, will use the ERGO ARENA, which also featured during the 2014 World Championship and the 2023 VNL Finals.
Katowice’s Spodek Arena holds a prominent place in tournament history, having hosted semifinal and medal matches in both 2014 and 2022.
Łódź continues its involvement in major volleyball events, with Atlas Arena recently staging the 2024 VNL Men’s Finals and previously hosting World Championship matches.
Olsztyn completes the list of venues. Its Urania Hall reopened in 2023 after renovation and has already hosted international action, including a friendly between Poland and Iran in 2025.
With experienced organizers, passionate supporters and established arenas across the country, Poland is preparing to deliver another significant chapter in the history of the Men’s World Championship.
