VNL M: Mujanović Powers Slovenia Past Poland

Slovenia pulled off a huge upset in the Volleyball Nations League beating defending champions and world No. 1 Poland in a dramatic five-set battle.

Led by a great performance from 21-year-old opposite Nik Mujanović, Slovenia claimed a hard-fought victory after more than two hours of intense action. Mujanović delivered 37 points, including the decisive short serve that sealed the match in the fifth set.

Slovenia repeatedly fought back from deficits throughout the contest, showing resilience in key moments. Slovenia recovered from a 4-0 deficit in the tie-break and saved multiple match points before completing the comeback.

Klemen Šen added 16 points, while Jan Kozamernik and Rok Bračko contributed 12 and 11 respectively as Slovenia outperformed Poland in attack.

For Poland, Bartosz Gomulka and Bartosz Firszt scored 19 points each, while Szymon Jakubiszak added 18.

Result: Slovenia def. Poland 3-2 (27-25, 23-25, 26-24, 21-25, 19-17).
