Friday’s Volleyball Nations League action delivered several intersting results as the second week of the preliminary round continued across multiple venues.

Japan claimed the most dramatic victory of the day, edging Iran 3-2 after surrendering a two-set lead before prevailing in the deciding set. Italy secured an impressive 3-1 win over Brazil in one of the day’s headline clashes, while Serbia defeated Cuba by the same score.
Earlier, Ukraine earned a valuable four-set victory over Canada, Argentina swept past China in straight sets, and Germany overcame Belgium 3-1.
The second week of the 2026 VNL runs from June 24-28. The tournament features 18 national teams competing for seven places in the Finals, where host nation China has already secured qualification.
