Believe it or not, only 24 hours after collapsing on the floor, Brayelin Martínez stepped in to play the match!

Brave heart of Martínez helped Women’s Volleyball National team of Dominican Republic beat Thailand in the last round of Week 1 of the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix – Group 1.

Despite she said she was feeling all right today, most players would not even consider performing 24 hours after losing consciousness during the match as Martínez did. But, the feeling of patriotism was stronger than a temporary weakness as young receiver pushed Dominican NT over Thailand in Pool C1, in Apeldoorn (3-1), The Netherlands, with 21 points. This is how much her teammate Annerys Vargas scored as well. In Thai NT, Hattaya Bamrungsuk had 18.
