In the last match of Day 1 in the Volleyball Nations League, USA defeated Poland after four uncertain sets.

USA survived an unexpected thriller and make a winning start thanks to a 3-1 (28-26, 25-22, 22-25, 25-15) victory over a Poland. 

Michelle Bartsch was the top scorer of the winning team with 27 points in front of an enthusiastic Nebraska crowd, with home favorite Jordan Larson-Burbach providing strong support with 20 points. 

Malwina Smarzek was the best in the Polish side with 23 offensive points, while Natalia Medrzyk scored 13 and Martyna Grajber 12 points.
