Mulhouse staged an upset in Round 3 of the 2019/20 French Women’s Volleyball Championship regular season.

Mulhouse are not joking! They shocked titleholders Cannes in the third round of the 2019/20 Ligue A regular season and occupied the top spot in the charts with a perfect record and after dropping only one set so far: 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-16). The most deserving player for the win of Mulhouse was Laetitia  Moma Bassoko, the league’s standout last season in the jersey of Marcq-en-Barœul. The Cameroonian outside hitter tallied 15 points.

Béziers are also perfect, having the same number of points and even the same set ratio, after downing France Avenir 2024 at home in straight sets. And while the fact that Nantes have 3-0 record is not a surprise, knowing they are vice-champions, the unbeaten run of Vandœuvre Nancy certainly is! Their summer recruit from the Swiss champions Viteos NUC, an American opposite hitter Martenne Bettendorf, top-scored against Pays d’Aix Venelles (3-2) with 21 points, while Spanish libero Patricia Rodríguez (came from Barça CVB) made 93% reception (15 digs, 67% excellent).

The Cameroonian Christelle Tchoudjang-Nana made the best scoring output of Round 3. An experienced opposite hitter poured in 26 points in the away victory of Chamalières against Mougins (3-1).
